Tether, the issuer of the USDT stablecoin, has secured a 10.7% stake in Juventus Football Club, making it the second-largest shareholder behind Exor NV, the investment arm of Italy's Agnelli family. The holding, valued at approximately €128 million ($149 million), marks the first major investment by a cryptocurrency firm in a top-tier European football club.

Juventus, a storied Italian franchise set to compete in the 2025 Club World Cup, has been under Agnelli family control since 1923. Exor retains a dominant two-thirds ownership and holds interests in Stellantis, Ferrari, and Christian Louboutin. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino revealed communications with Juventus and Exor remain minimal, with proposed meetings deferred until after the current season concludes.
